Separate courts in Dhaka granted bail to 40 students who were arrested in cases filed over vandalism and attacks on policemen during the road safety movement.
Bails were granted to 12 students in a case filed with Badda, nine students in a case filed with Dhandmondi, six students in a case filed with Bhatara, 12 students in a case filed with New Market, Uttara west and Kotwali police stations.
Besides one student in a case filed with Paltan police stations.
On July 29, two students of Shaheed Ramij Uddin Cantonment College were killed and 12 others injured as a bus ploughed through a crowd waiting for transports on Airport Road near Radisson Hotel in the capital.
Immediately after the accident, students took to different streets in Dhaka protesting the incident and demanding safe road.
