3-day Muktisangram Fest begins tomorrow at JU

A three-daylong cultural festival titled ‘Muktisangram Sanskritik Utshob-2019’will begin tomorrow at Jahangirnagar University (JU).

The authority of Jahangirnagar University is going to arrange the programme to remark Independent Day of Bangladesh. The Student Teacher Center (TSC) of the university will manage the programme.

On Sunday at 11.30 am director of Student-Teacher Center (TSC) and convener of the festival, Prof. Bashir Ahmed disclosed the programme at a press conference that held at the lounge of university’s central cafeteria.

In a written statement Prof. Bashir Ahmed said, ‘In the continuation of last 2 years we are going to organize the three-daylong Muktisangram cultural festival to spread the spirit of our liberation war. The festival will begin on March 25 and will end on 27 March.’

The 3-daylong festival will be included with discussion session, honoring the important persons for their contribution to liberation war, art camp, jagoroner gaan, stage drama, cinema exhibition and cultural programmes etc.

Jute and Textile Minister Gazi Golam Dostogir will inaugurate the festival on 25 March. Foreign Minister Dr. A K Abdul Momen, State Minister of Disaster Management and Relief Ministry Dr. Md. Anamur Rahman, Deputy Minister of Water Resources Ministry A K M Anamul Hoque Shamim, Management director of Beacon Pharmaceuticals Mr. Abadul Karim Bulbul and Mr Nurunnobi Chowdhory Shaown will be the chief guests on the other day of festival.

Apart from this, singer of Shadhin Bangla Betar Kendre Fakhir Alamgir, Bir pratik Sajjad Ali Jahir, Freedom fighter Furkan Begum, Freedom Fighter Dr. Mahmuda Nargis Rotna, Freedom fighter Dr. Laila Parveen Banu, word soldier of Shadhin Bangla Betar Kendre Majharul Islam and Ashraful Islam will be the honorable guests in the festival.
