BNP candidate Sattar wins Brahmanbaria-2

BNP nominee Abdus Sattar Bhuiyan has been elected unofficially elected Brahmanbaria-2 constituency.

This win resulted in eight seats in the 11th parliamentary elections and the total number of seats in the BNP. In the December 30 elections, the United Front and BNP nominated seven candidates won the election.

BNP nominee Abdus Sattar Bhuiyan has been elected privately by 83 thousand 997 votes. His nearest rival independent candidate Moinuddin Moin got 75 thousand 419 votes. Advocate Ziaul Haque Mridha secured third position with 39 thousand 405 votes.

Although voters were present in the polling stations in the morning, the noon was in the field blank.

It is to be noted that during the December 30 election, several irregularities were reported in Jatrapur Government Primary School, Sohagpur South Government Primary School and Bahadurpur Government Primary School center in Ashuganj upazila of the constituency. After this the Election Commission has postponed the results of the three centers and the election commission announced the date of re-election.
