:: Peoples Time Online ::

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed has warned that the Election Commission (EC) will be harassing the dire consequences of stopping Begum Khaleda’s candidacy by conspiring.

He said this at a press conference at the party’s central office in Nayapaltan on Tuesday afternoon.

He said the EC has imposed restrictions after the government’s directive so that no anti-government propaganda can happen in the parliamentary elections. Observers have been told to stand like a statue, the media has been banned from entering the center, any irregularities, violence and robberies from the center have been banned by direct broadcast, the social media has announced strict control in the name of 24 hours monitors. In essence, this strict policy of one of the Election Commission of the Election Commission to cover all misdeeds of government. People believe that these policies are indeed the ultimate step of holding a one-sided election. ‘

Rizvi said, “The government has gifted Toyota Alien cars to returning officers across the country, which is worth 35 lakh taka for the election. It is beneficial to return the returning officers to influence the government’s favor. We strongly condemn such hateful action. ‘

He said, “The government has kept several tricks and fundamental fakirs to keep Begum Khaleda Zia away from the elections. The government, using the lower court, was imprisoned by imprisonment in a false case and now using the High Court. The observation was given from a High Court bench yesterday, there is no provision for the postponement of the sentence of the lower court while the High Court’s appeal is pending. After the order, the prosecutors declared the lawyers – those who are convicted will not be able to participate in parliamentary elections. To keep the BNP chairperson away from the elections, such an order has been given in the mechanism of the government.

Rizvi said, ‘In the past, there is an instance of selection in the case while pending in appeal. Jatiya Party chairman HM Ershad, Awami League leader Mohiuddin Khan Alamgir was also sentenced to parliamentary elections. Besides, some ministers of the current voter-non-government government are being sent to the gallows. So BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia will not be able to move away from all the strategies to keep her away from the elections, the results will not be good. Khaleda Zia’s appeal was not finally settled due to her participation in parliamentary elections. Even after being punished in the judicial court, there are instances in the country that the appeal of the MPs remains in place.
