PM Cambodia visit raises economic chances of Bangladesh

Bangladesh could be the bridge between the east and the west, said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. ‍In the last day of her 3 day visit of Cambodia, President of Cambodia’s royal party FUNCINPEC and ex-Prime Minister Norodom Ranariddh paid a courtesy visit to her. During that meeting, Sheikh Hasina emphasized the importance of connectivity and cooperation with in Asian countries in the interest of the people of the region. After the meeting, Prime Minister’s additional press secretary informs the media that, there is initiatives to open up another international airport neat Dhaka as an effort to make Bangladesh the bridge between the east and the west.

Moreover to increase connectivity Bangladesh and South-east Asia, Cox’s Bazar airport will be transformed into an international airport. This makes it clear that Prime Minister is determined to make Bangladesh into the connection between east-west. And it’s without a doubt a wise decision.

The foreign policies of Bangladesh have started evaluating the other countries and the country will be benefitted if bilateral relations with the countries get strengthened. The Premier has sought support to repatriate Rohingya and it is assumed that Cambodia will have an active response. Overall, there have been a chance of economical and other development and a joint effort is required to get benefits from it.
