Jatiya Party chairman HM Ershad does not need to go to Singapore for treatment as he is fine now, said the party’s secretary general ABM Ruhul Amin Hawlader.
“He is fine now and likely to return home in a day or two,” said the Japa leader while talking to reporters at a press briefing at Jatiya Party Chairman’s Banani office here on Wednesday.
Responding to a query, Hawlader said their party chairman has been admitted to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) for his regular checkup.
“He’s been receiving treatment in a Singapore hospital for a long time but at this current situation he does not need to go there,” he told reporters.
Ershad was admitted to the capital’s CMH on Tuesday morning as he ‘fell sick’.
Earlier on Tuesday, Japa presidium member Foysal Chisty told media that their party chief is likely go to Singapore for better treatment soon.
