The official trailer of Doob (No Bed of Roses in English) featuring Irrfan Khan, Nusrat Imrose Tisha, Rokeya Prachy and Parno Mittra in the lead roles was released on YouTube on Wednesday night.

Doob is an India-Bangladesh co-production drama film written and directed by Mostofa Sarwar Farooki.

It was produced by Himanshu Dhanuka, Abdul Aziz and Irrfan Khan under the banner of Eskay Movies and Jaaz Multimedia along with Irrfan Khan’s IK Company.

The story builds up around the members of two families discovering the finer fabric of love when the headman of a family dies. The theme of the film is that death doesn’t always take things away, sometimes it gives back.

According to the source, Bangladesh Film Development Corporation’s (BFDC) Joint Venture Preview Committee approved the script on March 8, 2016 after which the film went into production.

The completed film was previewed for the BFDC on February 12, 2017 and received a No Objection Certificate on Feb. 15. On Feb. 16, the BFDC sent the production a letter stating that the certificate had been cancelled due to a letter from the Bangladesh Information Ministry.

After months of waiting for clearance to release the film, the film was finally announced to be releasing on 27 October in both Bangladesh and India.
