Khaleda lost rights to democracy or elections: Inu

President of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JASHOD) and Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu has paid rich tributes to Amir Hossain Bachchu, a leader of his party who died recently.

The minister said that whoever is in politics and whatever is his political affiliation, he used to pay respect to dedicated political workers and the Liberation War and all other nationally settled issues.

Inu said that by disregarding Bangabandhu as Father of the Nation and celebrating her fraudulent birthday, BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has shown a perverted mentality.

“Khaleda Zia, ignoring the genocide of 1971 carried out by the Pakistan Army and aligning herself with war criminals and militants, had disqualified herself from democracy, dialogue and elections,” Inu said.

The minister said this was speaking at a meeting at Shaheed Col. Taher auditorium in Dhaka on Friday.

Inu said that the settled issues of the nation like the defeat of the Pakistan Army in 1971, defeat of military rulers in Bangladesh cannot be overturned.

He added that those who were upholding the residue of the Pakistani and military rulers were enemies of democracy and Bangladesh.

“They are continually conspiring against the nation and its democratic order,” Inu said.

Dr. Rakibul Islam Litu, other leaders of JASHOD and its affiliate organizations also spoke on the occasion.
