Menon made remarks on election to serve his personal interest: Quader

:: Peoples Time Online ::

Workers Party President Rashed Khan Menon made the comment on the  11th parliamentary elections in order to serve his political interest, said Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader.

Taking a swipe at Menon, he said: “He [Menon] claimed that people could not cast their votes in the last parliamentary elections. I humbly want to know whether he would have made the claim had he been a minister.”

“He is a senior politician. Why did he make the claim at this time after so many days?” Quader questioned.

The minister made the remarks while replying to the queries from journalists at his Secretariat office today, a day after menon made the remarks.

Addressing the council of his party’s Barishal district unit yesterday, Menon said that people could not cast their votes in the 11th parliamentary election and he was a witness to it.
