Awami League (AL) General Secretary and also Road, Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader returned home today after taking treatment from a hospital in Singapore.
A Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight (BG 085) carrying the politician landed at Hazrat Shahjalal Airport at 5:52pm. He was taken to Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore.
Obaidul Quader, who was undergoing treatment at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Hospital, was flown to Singapore for treatment on March 4.
Earlier, on March 3, the AL general secretary was admitted to BSMMU hospital in the capital after suffering breathing complications.
Tests conducted later in the hospital revealed three blockages in his coronary artery and subsequently, he was flown to Singapore for better treatment. Quader underwent bypass surgery on March 20 there.
