There was a conflict between the two boards for a long time. Pakistan has filed a lawsuit against them for canceling several bilateral series with Pakistan on various pretexts. The International Cricket Council (ICC) gave verdict in favor of India in the compensation case of Rs 447 crore. Pakistan was defeated.
The ICC had set up a panel to decide on this compensation case against the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), which was formed by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The panel has canceled the case after scrutinizing everything. The ICC wrote on their official Twitter page, “The Decision panel has canceled the PCB’s case against the BCCI. This verdict is scheduled and the appeal is ineligible. ‘
India will play six bilateral series against Pakistan between 2015 and 2023. But due to political hostilities, India is not facing Pakistan in any way except in the global tournament.
BCCI claims that there is no informal agreement for their bilateral series with Pakistan. Apart from this, there is also the issue of government approval for bilateral cricket.
India blamed Pakistan for terrorist attacks in Mumbai in 2008. Among them, the first proposed series was in the United Arab Emirates in November 2015. But India did not get permission from the government to play this series.
Basically, the series of cancellation of the series, due to the loss of the TV rights and other commercial losses, But former Foreign Minister Salman Khurshid, representing India in the negotiating panel, brought forward the security issue and pointed out the logic of canceling the series against Pakistan.
