The law enforcers have asked to arrest those who are involved with the alleged murder of BUET student Abrar Fahad, said Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader.
He said: “None can kill a person for possessing different opinion. None in the country has the right to kill someone just because he or she thinks differently.”
“I have talked to the higher authorities of the police department and requested them to take proper step in this regard,” he added.
The minister came up with the remarks while talking to journalists at his Secretariat office today.
Replying to a query, he further said: “The investigation is underway and I hope soon the police will find out the persons who were involved with the incident.”
Abrar Fahad, 21, a 2nd-year student of electrical and electronics engineering department of Bangladesh Engineering University (BUET) was allegedly beaten to death by the Chhatra League members over a Facebook post early Monday, sparking a widespread agitation among the general students.
