Amid the debate over Dhaka University ‘Gha’ unit admission test results, a writ petition has been filed with the High Court seeking a stay order on the admission process of the unit for 2018-2019 academic session.

Supreme Court lawyer Yunus Ali Akand on Sunday filed the writ challenging the legitimacy of the procedure as there are allegations that the question paper of the test was leaked before the exam.

Vice-chancellor (VC) of Dhaka University, Dean of the Social Science Faculty and Education Secretary were made respondents in the writ.

After filing the petition, Yunus Ali Akand told reporters that the bench of Justice Mainul Islam Chowdhury and Justice Md Ashraful Kamal is likely to hear the petition today.

The admission test for ‘Gha’ unit was held on October 12 and the results were published on October 16.

On October 13, the varsity authorities formed a three-member investigation committee to look into the question paper leak allegation.
