Journalist KM Rubel no more, Editor mourns

KM Rubel (45), Faridpur correspondent of The Daily People's Time newspaper, is no more (Innalillahiwa Inna IlaihiRaziun). He was taken to Faridpur Diabetic Hospital after a heart attack on Friday (July 22) around 10:30 pm. He died there around 12 o'clock in the night. He left behind his mother, wife and two sons. 

Dr. Kazi Ertaza Hassan,Vice President of Satkhira District Awami League, Editor of Daily Vorer Pata and The Daily People's Time, Member of Central Awami League's Sub-Committee on Industry and Commerce and Director of FBCCI expressed deep grief and condolences to the bereaved family on the death of KM Rubel. 

Journalist Rubel's son Kazi Lameem Islam said that his father eats food at night. After that at around 10 o'clock in the night, when he felt pain in his chest, hands and the feet he talked to his mother and called an ambulance over mobile phone. After that, he walked out of the house and reached Baitul Aman Bazar and got into the ambulance and went to the hospital. He died there after a while. The Daily Sangbad and Baisakhi Television's Faridpur Correspondent Rubel's death reached a shadow of grief among colleagues and acquaintances. KM Rubel was the son of late Kazi Sirajul Islam of Baitul Aman Mohalla in the city. His full name is Kazi Md Rubel. He has been involved in journalism from Faridpur district sadar for almost thirty years. Before that he worked as a correspondent in Banglabazar newspaper. KM Rubel was known to colleagues as a polite and smiling face. 

His elder son Kazi Tamim Islam is a 5th year student of Diploma in Agriculture at Faridpur Agricultural Institute. Younger son KaziLameem Islam is a New Ten student of Faridpur Textile Vocational Institute. His old mother Hasina Begum (80) is physically ill. His body was brought to Faridpur Press Club around 12 at noon on Saturday. People from all walks of life paid tribute to his dead body with flowers. After the funeral at Bad Johar Baitul Aman Eidgah ground, he was buried in Bilmamudpur cemetery.
