8 more die with measles and symptoms in 24hrs

Eight more people died with measles and the disease-like symptoms in different parts of the country in the last 24 hours till 8:00 am on Thursday, April 16, as the contagious disease continued to spread.

Of them, the deaths of two were from confirmed measles, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

With this, the confirmed measles deaths and cases stood at 34 and 3,065, respectively, from March 15 to date.

The health directorate said it has been recording measles-related data since March 15.
