Poverty Could Not Stop Her Dream: Chhatra Dal Leader Extends Support to Rabindra University Admission Seeker

Financial hardship nearly forced a talented student's dream of higher education to an end. However, timely assistance from Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal's Central Joint General Secretary, Md. Tariqul Islam Tariq, enabled her to complete the admission process at Rabindra University, Bangladesh.

The student secured admission to the Bangla Department of Rabindra University for the 2025–26 academic session. Despite earning the opportunity through merit, her family was unable to arrange the admission fee due to severe financial constraints, putting her academic future at risk.

After learning about her situation through local student leaders in Gaibandha, Tariq personally contacted the student to verify the matter. Following the conversation, he provided the required financial support through mobile banking on Sunday, ensuring that she could complete her admission on Monday (June 29).

Expressing her gratitude, the student said she had almost given up hope because her family could not afford the admission expenses. She added that Tariq's support not only made her university admission possible but also restored her confidence to pursue her dreams.

Speaking about the initiative, Tariq said that no talented student's education should be interrupted because of financial hardship. He emphasized that serving people is the true purpose of politics and expressed satisfaction at being able to contribute to protecting a student's future.

The humanitarian gesture has drawn appreciation from many, with observers noting that such initiatives highlight the positive role political leaders can play in supporting education and social welfare.
