A total of 13,173 samples were tested at 74 authorised laboratories across the country during the time. Of these, 3027 have been diagnosed with coronavirus, bringing the total number of positive cases to 1,68,645, she said. A total of 8,73,480 samples have been tested so far. Meanwhile, the recovery count rose to 78,102 after another 1953 patients were discharged from the hospitals during the period, the health official said. The first coronavirus death was reported in the country on March 18, ten days after the detection of the first COVID-19 cases. The coronavirus, that first reported in China late last year, is now affecting 213 countries and territories around the world and two international conveyances. As of Tuesday afternoon, a total of 11,756,483 people has been diagnosed with the virus worldwide, as the death toll rises to 541,086 while 6,753,131 patients have recovered, according to worldometers data.
