Bomb-like cylinder weighing 250 kg found at HSIA

A bomb-like cylinder weighing 250 kg was recovered from the third terminal at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Wednesday afternoon.

According to airport sources, the cylinder-like bomb weighing 250 kg was recovered from a depth of about three meters during piling of the third terminal.

An Air Force bomb disposal team recovered the bomb from the scene. Now it is taken to Mymensingh Muktagachha airbase.

It is to be mentioned, the under-construction third terminal is outside of the main airport area.
