Abdus Samad Labu elected as new chairman of Al-Arafah Islami Bank

Alhaj Abdus Samad Labu has been elected as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the private sector Al-Arafah Islami Bank.

He was unanimously elected in the 390th meeting of the Bank's board on Sunday (August 20).

Alhaj Abdus Samad Labu Al-Arafah is one of the founder directors of Islami Bank. This resident of Chittagong district is a prominent industrialist and businessman of the country. He is the Vice Chairman of S Alam Group, one of the largest industrial companies in the country and chairman of S Alam Cold.

Abdus Samad is also the Vice Chairman of the private satellite television channel Ekushe Television (ETV). Besides, he is an executive member of Baytus-Sharof Foundation and Chittagong Association of Dhaka.
