Fuel prices to remain unchanged for July

Fuel prices to remain unchanged for July

The prices of fuel in Bangladesh will remain unchanged for July.
Under the current pricing framework, the retail price of per litre diesel will remain at Tk102, kerosene at Tk114, octane at Tk122, and petrol at Tk118, the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources said in a press release on Sunday.
The prices will take effect from 1 July.
In June, the price of diesel was cut by Tk2 per litre, while petrol and octane were lowered by Tk3 per litre for consumers.

As per revised prices, the selling price of diesel was reduced to Tk102 per litre from Tk104, petrol to Tk118 a litre from Tk121, and octane to Tk122 per litre from Tk125.
Besides, the price of kerosene was fixed at Tk114 per litre.
In May, the government cut fuel prices by Tk1, while in April and March, it kept petroleum prices unchanged.
In line with global market trends and the automated pricing formula, fuel prices are adjusted in the country every month.
