![]() Bangladesh's progress would have been accelerated, if Sheikh Russel had survived: FBCCI President FBCCI President Md. Jashim Uddin remarked this while participating in a virtual discussion and prayer organized by Bangladesh Insurance Association on the occasion of Sheikh Russel's birthday and "Sheikh Russel Day-2021" on Monday noon. Speaking as the chief guest, he said that those who did not spare even the young kid Russel in the murder of Bangabandhu and his family are the worst murderers in history. However, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, through her prudent leadership, is working relentlessly to build the golden Bengal as Bangabandhu dreamt of. He also thanked the Bangladesh Insurance Association for organizing the prayer and discussion meeting, and said that the insurance sector should be taken forward like other sectors of the country. For this we have to come up with new products. The FBCCI President assured that the FBCCI would extend maximum cooperation to solve any problem in this sector. Sheikh Kabir Hossain, President of Bangladesh Insurance Association presided over the meeting. He said that although the killers of Bangabandhu were punished, others involved in the incident should also be brought under the law. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Nasir Uddin Ahmed, First Vice President of Bangladesh Insurance Association. AKM Moinul Haque, vice-president of the organization and other entrepreneurs of the insurance sector also spoke at the event.
