BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has recently held a meeting with Tracey Ann Jacobson, chargé d'affaires at the US Embassy in Dhaka, in London and discussed issues relating to the upcoming national election in Bangladesh.
During the meeting, Tarique discussed various issues, including the upcoming national election, Bangladesh’s overall political situation and his party’s plan for forming the next government.
Apart from these, Humayan Kabir, foreign affairs adviser to Tarique Rahman, said on Wednesday that the meeting also discussed the global eagerness over Bangladesh’s national election and the concern of the international communities.
The schedule for the next general election will be announced by November, while Tarique Rahman may return home before the announcement, he added.
