Begum Rokeya University's ex-VC Kalimullah arrested

Former vice-chancellor of Begum Rokeya University Professor Nazmul Ahsan Kalimullah has been arrested.
He was arrested early Thursday morning by the Detective Branch (DB) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).
Earlier on 18 June, the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) filed a case against Dr Kalimullah, who is also the Chairman of the National Election Observation Council (JANIPOP), over allegations of corruption.
According to officials, Dr Kalimullah was shown arrested in connection with the ACC case.
