Pori Moni put on remand again

A court in Dhaka has placed Dhallywood actress Pori Moni on a one-day remand in a drug case again.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Atiqul Islam passed the order on Thursday noon.

Earlier, Pori Moni was taken to the court from Central Jail in Kashimpur, Gazipur at 8:25am.

On August 16, Kazi Golam Mostofa, inspector of the CID police and investigation officer of the case, produced Pori Moni before the court with a five-remand prayer. The remand hearing was held today.

On August 4, RAB conducted a four -hour operation and arrested Pori Moni and Dipu from a house in Banani. A huge amount of drugs were reportedly seized from her house.

After the arrest, they were taken to the RAB headquarters. Later, RAB-1 filed a case against Pori Moni under the Narcotics Act.
