The name of the Mongol Shobhajatra has been changed This information was announced at a press conference held today (Friday) at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Dhaka University. The press conference was organized to share details regarding the celebration of Pahela Baishakh and Bengali New Year 1432. Since 1989, the Faculty of Fine Arts has been organizing this procession on Pahela Baishakh. Initially, it was called "Anondo Shovajatra" (Joyous Procession). On November 30, 2016, UNESCO recognized Mongol Shobhajatra as part of the world’s intangible cultural heritage. |
