Twenty-eight candidates have withdrawn their candidacies in the Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU) elections.
In addition, 10 candidates who were eliminated in the primary selection process have had their nomination papers declared invalid as they did not appeal.
As a result, 471 candidates will ultimately contest the elections.

A total of 471 candidates will contest 28 positions in this year's DUCSU elections.
