![]() BGB Foils Alleged BSF Push-in Attempt Along Moulvibazar Border Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has foiled an alleged attempt by India's Border Security Force (BSF) to push around 20 people into Bangladesh through the border areas of Juri and Barlekha upazilas in Moulvibazar. According to the BGB, the incident occurred last night when BSF allegedly attempted to send the group across the border, taking advantage of dense fog and darkness. Border lights were also reportedly switched off at the time. Lieutenant Colonel Ataur Rahman, commanding officer of the BGB-52 Beanibazar Battalion, confirmed that BGB personnel thwarted the attempted push-in. He said similar attempts had been reported several times since last night, including in the morning, around midday and again in the evening. Following the reports, BGB immediately strengthened surveillance and security measures in the affected border areas, he added. The reported incidents took place along remote, hilly and forested stretches of the border under Juri and Barlekha upazilas.
