Operation Still Underway: Indian Air Force

The Indian Air Force has announced that the operation is still ongoing and further information will be provided in due time. This statement was made in a post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday afternoon, according to a report by the BBC.

The post on X stated:
"The tasks assigned under Operation Sindhu were executed with precision and professionalism by the Indian Air Force. These operations were conducted thoughtfully and with discretion, in alignment with national objectives."

The statement further added:
"The operation is still in progress. Therefore, more details will be shared later. The Indian Air Force has urged everyone to avoid spreading speculation and unverified information."

Following the Pahalgam attack, India launched airstrikes on May 6 and 7 during the midnight hours, targeting areas in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir. This significantly escalated tensions between the two countries. Both nations later claimed to have attacked each other’s military bases. On Saturday evening, both India and Pakistan announced a ceasefire.

On April 22, 26 tourists were killed in a gunmen attack in Pahalgam, located in Indian-administered Kashmir. India blamed Pakistan for the attack from the outset. Pakistan, however, has consistently denied the accusation and called for an international investigation. Since then, both countries have taken various retaliatory measures.

Amid this heightened tension, on Tuesday midnight, India carried out strikes under "Operation Sindhu" targeting areas in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir. In response, Pakistan launched "Operation Buny?n-un-Mars?s" starting Friday night.
