One Arrested with Arms and Ammunition in Joint Forces Operation in Meherpur

A man named Laltu Biswas (40) has been arrested with a foreign pistol and ammunition in a joint forces operation in Gangni upazila of Meherpur. The arrest was made around 6:30 AM on Friday (April 11) during a raid in Lakshminarayanpur Dhala village of the upazila.

Laltu Biswas is the son of the late Akkas Ali from Lakshminarayanpur village.

According to reports, the joint forces conducted the operation based on information that Laltu was in possession of a firearm at his home. During the raid, a foreign pistol, two magazines, and three rounds of ammunition were recovered.

The joint forces stated that a case under the Arms Act is being processed against Laltu Biswas. He has been handed over to Gangni police station.
