The Army, Navy and Air Force -- the three branches of the armed forces -- will be deployed in the general elections in February, said Home Adviser Lt Gen (retd) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury.
He announced the decision before reporters during a visit to the Sylhet deputy commissioner's office on Monday.
The home adviser also said that at least nine personnel from Ansar will be deployed at each polling centre across the country during the elections, while one armed Ansar would be provided for each presiding officer.
