Case filed against 3,500 over attack on police at Nural Pagla’s shrine

Police have filed a case against 3,500 unidentified people after an angry mob attacked law enforcement officers and vandalised vehicles at the shrine of Nurul Haque, also known as Nural Pagla in Rajbari.
The case was filed on Friday night by Goaland Ghat Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Selim Molla as the plaintiff.
Goaland Ghat Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Rakibul Islam confirmed the matter on Saturday morning.
He said, “In yesterday’s incident, 10 to 12 of our police personnel were injured. The mob also vandalised two of our vehicles. Following the attack, a case has been filed against 3,000 to 3,500 unidentified individuals. Operations are underway to arrest the accused.”
