Bashundhara Group Handed over 50,000 Masks, PPE and Food items to Navy

The Bashundhara group has stood by the country and the people since the beginning of the fight against coronavirus. As a part of this, the top industrial group in the country today give PPE, masks and food items to the Navy on Sunday (April 7th).

At 8am this morning, Managing Director Of Bashundhara Group Sayem Sobhan Anvir and Vice Chairman of the Group Shafiat Sobhan Sanvir handed over 50,000 masks, 500 PPE and two trucks (700 packets) of food to Admiral Aurangzeb Chowdhury at the Naval Headquarters.

Earlier on Thursday, the Bashundhara Group handed over 1,000 PPE and 50,000 masks to the Directorate General of Military Medical Services.

In addition, Bashundhara Group handed over 25,000 masks to the Dhaka Metropolitan Police's Traffic (North) Division yesterday.

Meanwhile, on March 25, Managing Director of Bashundhara Group Sayem Sobhan handed over a check of Tk 100 million to the Prime Minister's Corona Fund. Bashundhara Group is also providing food assistance to many poor and low income families in the capital.

On the other hand, the Bashundhara Group has decided to build a five thousand-bed hospital as part of its support to the government to tackle the challenges of coronavirus situation. It will convert four convention cities and a trade center into a hospital in Kuril in the capital.

Already the convention cities have been visited by a 24-member army delegation led by Lt. Col. Badrul Haque and Deputy Director (Hospital) of the Health Department Dr. Md. Younus Ali is led by three officers.
