Former SCC mayor Kamran tests positive for COVID-19

Former mayor of Sylhet City Corporation (SCC) and central executive committee member of Awami League Badar Uddin Ahmed Kamran has been infected with the coronavirus.

He tested positive after testing at the PCR lab of MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital in Sylhet on Friday. Earlier on May 27, his wife Asma Kamran, general secretary of the Sylhet Metropolitan Women's Awami League, was attacked by coronavirus.

Kamran's son and Deputy director of the city's Ragib Rabeya Medical College Hospital Arman Ahmed Shiplu confirmed this information.

He said his father's samples were collected on Friday morning for testing coronavirus and the report came positive at night. His father is in home isolation and his Physical condition is normal.
