State Minister gives solution about extra electricity bills

State Minister for the Ministry of Power, Energy & Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid gave a solution to the allegations about the extra electricity bill, suggesting making a complaint at the nearest power office.

The State Minister gave the information at an online press conference from the conference room of the Ministry on Wednesday.

He said those who have received extra bills can complain to the electricity office. If they are not satisfied with the proper way, then complain to the head of the company. If them are not satisfied there, then here I am. Complain directly to me. “I already received 12-13 complaints in mail so far,” he also said.

‘People don’t even know your mail’ – in such a question, the State Minister said, “It can be found online.”

In response to the question ‘the general people do not think so much’, the State Minister said they do not need to come to the minister. “I will tell everyone – complain at the nearest power offices. If you cannot get solution, then seek those above. Even then if the solution cannot meet, we are here for the last option.”

“I have told all the distribution companies, who are complaining in writing, that when the complaint goes to the main website, a copy of it also comes to me,” he also said, adding, “I also get reports of how many have been solved. But I'm watching. Besides, our customers are around four crore – where complaints are 4 to 5, it’s not something that can resolve.”
