West Indies will need 285 more runs on the fifth day of the first Test in Chattogram tomorrow while the host Bangladesh will have to down their opponent's 7 wickets to secure the victory as the tigers declared their second innings after 223 for 8, set Caribbean side 395 target, and the visitors finished the fourth day with 110-3 at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium on Saturday.

Bangladesh began the fourth day with having a lead of 218 runs as they ended the third day with 47/3. However, in the beginning of the fourth day tigers lost Mushfiqur Rahim, scoring only 18, and from there Mominul Haque-Liton Das fifth wicket stand started to build a big total.

The pair put on a 133-run stand, with Haque got his tenth Test hundred, going past Tamim Iqbal as the leading century-maker for Bangladesh in Tests, and Das got a crucial century. The Tigers lost another 5 wickets and declared the innings at 223 runs for 8 wickets to set West Indies a target of 395 runs to win.

In chasing of 385 the Caribbean skipper Kraigg Brathwaite and John Campbell opened the innings sensibly though Campbell was given out leg before wicket (lbw) in Mehidy Hasan Miraz's over when they reached at 39-1. Brathwaite was also caught for making individual 20 runs by Yasir Ali, the substitute, in Miraz's over to make the scorecard 48-2. The visitors also faced trouble when Shayne Moseley was sent to pavilion, being the third wicket of Miraz, by scoring only 12.

Nkrumah Bonner and Kyle Mayers stretched their side from 59-3 to 110 for 3 and finished the day with 51-run stand, both of them remained unbeaten for 15 off 63 and 37 off 50 respectively.

However, in the first innings, West Indies have been bundled out for 259 as Mehidy Hasan Miraz picked up four wickets on the third day. With that, Bangladesh got a lead of 171 runs.

Earlier, West Indies ended the 2nd day with 75-2 in 29 overs. Taijul Islam strikes in the first ball of the day and guides Bonner to the way of the pavilion. After that, Nayeem bowled out the West Indies skipper Brathwaite with a superb delivery.

Jermaine Blackwood and Joshua Da Silva batted well for West Indies, but Miraz fires after the tea break and picked up three important wickets and Taijul picked up the last wicket and folds Windies for 259.

Mushfiqur Rahim touched another milestone in his cricket career when he broke into the elite club of 12,000 runs in international cricket as the second Bangladesh cricketer. Mushfiqur Rahim remained unbeaten for 10 off 23 balls to finish the third day while Mominul Haque stayed at the crease with 31 runs.
