![]() LPG prices remain unchanged for May The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) announced the decision through a press release sent to the media on Sunday. According to the BERC notice, the price of a 12kg LPG cylinder has been kept at Tk1,940. This rate will be effective from 6pm on Sunday evening and will remain in force until further notice. The decision to keep prices steady follows a volatile month in April, where prices were adjusted twice. On 2 April, the price was initially hiked by Tk387, setting the rate at Tk1,728. On 19 April, prices were increased again by Tk212, bringing the total to the current Tk1,940. In addition to bottled gas, the commission has slightly adjusted the price of Autogas. Including VAT, the price per litre of Autogas has been increased by Tk0.02, bringing the new rate to Tk89.52.
