![]() The work of Bashundhara Temporary Hospital will be completed on time Officials of the Department of Health Engineering and International Convention City Bashundhara on Saturday highlighted the progress of the work and hoped to complete the work on time. Ahmed Akbar Sobhan, chairman of Bashundhara Group, a leading industrial conglomerate, recently proposed to the government to set up a 5,000-bed temporary hospital at the ICCB as the number of covid-19 patients continues to rise in the country. Initially, the Department of Health Engineering has started work to build a temporary hospital with 2,013 beds here. However, if necessary, it can be converted into five thousand beds. Once this program starts, it will be the largest integrated healthcare center for covid-19 patients in Bangladesh. Responding to the Bashundhara Group's proposal, the Department of Health Engineering started construction of the hospital at the ICCB on 13 April. The Department of Health Engineering and Bashundhara Group are working day and night to transform the hospital into a hospital within 15 days. Masudul Alam, executive engineer of the health engineering department at the hospital premises, said, "We are moving forward with the target of completing the work within 15 days." All sorts of tools have come here. Now just set. I Hope, within the target set to open the hospital this month. With all the other benefits, it will not be difficult to run the hospital. 1,200 beds have been moved here. The remaining 600 beds will be ready by Saturday. We have officially started work from April 13. Bashundhara Group in the light of the slogan 'For the Welfare of the Country and the People' has come forward for the welfare of the country and the nation even during this disaster. With the consent of the Prime Minister, a team from the Department of Health and the Army visited the ICCB's 1.5 lakh square feet trade center and five convention halls and later took the initiative to set up a temporary hospital or isolation.
