Request Made to Interpol to Issue Red Notices Against 10 Individuals, Including 8 Former Ministers and State Ministers The prosecution of the International Crimes Tribunal has requested Interpol to issue red notices against 10 accused individuals, including 8 former ministers and state ministers. Chief Prosecutor Tazul Islam shared this information while speaking to reporters on Thursday (April 10). Tazul Islam stated that the tribunal has so far received 339 complaints related to genocide and enforced disappearances. Of these, 39 complaints are currently under investigation, and 22 cases have been filed. A total of 141 individuals have been accused in these cases, of whom 54 have been arrested and 87 are absconding. He also mentioned that several amendments to the tribunal law may be introduced next week to streamline the trial process. The individuals for whom red notices have been recommended to Interpol are: Former Minister of Road Transport and Bridges: Obaidul Quader Former Home Minister: Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal Former Foreign Minister: Hasan Mahmud Former Minister for Liberation War Affairs: A K M Mozammel Haque Former Minister of Textiles and Jute: Jahangir Kabir Nanak Former Education Minister: Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel Former Information Minister: Mohammad Ali Arafat Former State Minister for Power: Nasrul Hamid Bipu Former Mayor of Dhaka South City Corporation: Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh Security Adviser to the Deposed Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina: Tarique Ahmed Siddique |
