The people of Bangladesh have always fought and struggled for the better, said BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir. He stated that farmers, workers, teachers, and people from all walks of life have continuously contributed to the country. “Our pledge and vision for the future should be to work together for the nation,” he added.

He made these remarks on Wednesday (April 30) during an event at Mother Teresa School of Gobindanagar Catholic Mission in his home district of Thakurgaon.

Mirza Fakhrul further said that while conflict and division exist in Bangladesh as well as in many parts of the world, we must not lose hope. “Eighteen crore people will work for the betterment of the country — that is our collective vow. Despite the challenges, we must overcome them and move forward.”

Later, Mirza Fakhrul recited poems for the students of the school. Among others present at the event were district BNP General Secretary Mirza Faisal Amin, Sadar Upazila BNP President Abdul Hamid, General Secretary Mahbubur Rahman Tuhin, and leaders and activists from various wings of the party.
